   EXHIBITION
12 AUGUST – SEPT. 29, 2011          “For The Love Of Critters”
     Figurative SculptuKAREN HOLDEN,    HUMBOLDT, SK

(Photos have been taken by Paul Paquet.)

ARTIST STATEMENT:
I cannot imagine living without animals in my life. There is a great deal to be learned from nature's creatures. Each individual has their own wisdom, strength, and if you are patient, a wonderful sense of play. I value all creatures I encounter in my life, and regard the chance encounters I have had with the wild ones, a gift. As we humans continue to spread into animal habitat, we must do our part to give them respect and space to move safely, to feed, breed, and get what they need.
Please report animal mistreatment.                                                         Karen Holden

Darlene Ford rescued Meg, abandoned, pregnant, and limping by the roadside. After a batch of pups and a x-ray, Darlene had her operated on. Her hip was removed as it was arthritic and beyond replacement from a neglected  broken pelvis. A miracle dog she is.
Healed, muscle has grown around the joint area enabling her to run, play and be part of a family she so deserves.
